The problem is this: youâre supposed to edit a file called âengine_config.txtâ to change a 0 to a 1 for the cheat mode, but I have had absolutely no luck finding this âengine_config.txtâ file. Online, it says go to documentsâ> Mount and Blade II Bannerlord â> engine_config.txt. However, this does not apply to proton/Linux on steamBTW if you have cheats enabled the achievements will be disabled. You can set cheat mode back to disabled before starting campaign by hitting ALT + " button then typing config.cheat_mode 0. This is happening for everyone. Not just people who are using cheats or mods.

Luckily, the process isn't at all difficult. All you need to do in order to bring up the in-game console is press Alt + ` (tilde). Then, input the config.cheat_mode 1 command to enable console commands. Should you want to disable them, input the command again, but replace the 1 with a 0.
