Posted May 29, 2020. hello, ford focus mk 11 , 1.6 tdci. on Wednesday my serpentine belt split & eventually snapped whilst driving unfortunately. when this happened the belt damaged the wiring to the crank sensor , I can replace the crank sensor. with a new one but the wiring plug is damaged & I cant find anywhere a replacement or any details

Your testing a 'hall effect sensor'. your testing method is somewhat flawed. Using a piece of steel approximate size of the 'nub' on your flywheel, bring the metal across the sensor (imitate the motion of the flywheel). I would guess that a small screwdriver would work. Speed is less important than distance. do NOT use a magnetized screwdriver
